Beef and Cabbage Stir-Fry
Ingredients:
1 pound beef sirloin, thinly sliced
4 cups green cabbage, shredded
1 medium onion, sliced
2 cloves garlic, minced
2 tablespoons soy sauce
1 tablespoon oyster sauce
1 tablespoon sesame oil
1 tablespoon vegetable oil
Salt and pepper to taste
Optional: sliced green onions for garnish
Directions:
Begin by heating the vegetable oil in a large skillet or wok over medium-high heat. Add the sliced beef and stir-fry for about 3-4 minutes until it is browned and cooked through. Remove the beef from the skillet and set it aside.
In the same skillet, add the sliced onion and minced garlic. Stir-fry for 2-3 minutes until the onion becomes translucent. Then, add the shredded cabbage to the skillet and continue to stir-fry for another 5-7 minutes until the cabbage is tender but still crisp.
Return the cooked beef to the skillet and pour in the soy sauce, oyster sauce, and sesame oil. Toss everything together and cook for an additional 2-3 minutes, allowing the flavors to meld. Season with salt and pepper to taste.
Serve hot, garnished with sliced green onions if desired.
