Perfectly tender rolls, gooey center, and rich frosting.


Cinnamon-Walnut Rolls

Ingredients (Makes 10–12 rolls)

Dough

  • ¾ cup warm milk (110°F / 45°C)

  • 2¼ tsp instant yeast (1 packet)

  • ¼ cup granulated sugar

  • 1 egg + 1 egg yolk (room temp)

  • ¼ cup melted butter

  • 3 cups all-purpose flour

  • ½ tsp salt

Filling

  • ½ cup brown sugar

  • 2 tbsp cinnamon

  • ¼ cup very soft butter

  • ¾ cup chopped walnuts

Cream Cheese Frosting

  • 4 oz cream cheese, softened

  • 3 tbsp butter, softened

  • ¾ cup powdered sugar

  • ½ tsp vanilla extract


Instructions

1. Make the Dough

  1. Mix warm milk, yeast, and sugar. Rest 5 minutes until foamy.

  2. Add egg, yolk, melted butter, and salt.

  3. Gradually mix in flour to form a soft dough.

  4. Knead 8–10 minutes until smooth and elastic.

  5. Cover and let rise 1–1½ hours, until doubled.


2. Prepare Filling

  • Mix brown sugar and cinnamon.

  • Keep butter soft and spreadable.


3. Shape the Rolls

  1. Roll dough into a 14×10-inch rectangle.

  2. Spread butter evenly.

  3. Sprinkle cinnamon sugar and walnuts.

  4. Roll tightly from the long side.

  5. Cut into 10–12 rolls.


4. Second Rise

  • Place rolls in a greased baking dish.

  • Cover and rise 30–40 minutes until puffy.


5. Bake

  • Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C).

  • Bake 22–25 minutes until lightly golden.


6. Frost

  • Beat frosting ingredients until smooth.

  • Spread over warm rolls for gooey frosting ✨
