Golden toasted bread topped with juicy tomatoes, garlic, fresh basil, and olive oil. Simple Mediterranean flavors that never disappoint.


Ingredients (Serves 4)

  • 1 French baguette or Italian loaf, sliced in half

  • 3 tbsp olive oil or softened butter

  • 3 cloves garlic, minced

  • 1½ cups cherry tomatoes, diced

  • ¼ cup fresh basil, chopped

  • Salt & black pepper to taste

Optional

  • ½ cup shredded mozzarella or Parmesan

  • Balsamic glaze drizzle


Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 400°F (200°C).

  2. Mix olive oil (or butter) with garlic; spread over bread.

  3. Toast bread 5–7 minutes until lightly golden.

  4. Toss tomatoes with basil, salt, and pepper.

  5. Spoon tomato mixture over bread; add cheese if using.

  6. Bake 8–10 minutes until bubbly. Finish with basil or balsamic.
