🍊☁️ Orange Yogurt Cloud Dessert

Light, airy, citrusy & melt-in-the-mouth

🧾 Ingredients (Serves 4–6)

  • 1½ cups thick Greek yogurt (full-fat works best)

  • ⅓ cup fresh orange juice (strained)

  • 1 tbsp orange zest

  • ¼ cup honey or maple syrup (adjust to taste)

  • 1 tsp vanilla extract

  • 1 cup cold whipping cream

  • 1 tsp powdered gelatin (optional – for extra stability)

  • 2 tbsp warm water (only if using gelatin)

Optional toppings:
Orange slices, crushed pistachios, shaved dark chocolate, mint leaves

👩‍🍳 Instructions

  1. Bloom gelatin (optional):
Sprinkle gelatin over warm water, let sit 5 minutes, then gently warm until dissolved. Cool slightly.

  2. Yogurt base:
In a bowl, whisk yogurt, orange juice, zest, honey, and vanilla until smooth.

  3. Add gelatin (if using):
Slowly whisk the cooled gelatin into the yogurt mixture.

  4. Whip the cream:
Beat cold whipping cream until soft, fluffy peaks form (don’t overwhip).

  5. Fold gently:
Using a spatula, gently fold the whipped cream into the yogurt mixture in 2–3 batches to keep it airy.

  6. Chill:
Spoon into serving glasses or a dish. Refrigerate at least 2 hours until cloud-light and set.

  7. Serve:
Top with orange segments, nuts, or chocolate just before serving.

❓ Q & A

Q: Can I skip gelatin?
Yes! The dessert will be softer and more mousse-like, but still delicious.

Q: Can I make it dairy-free?
Yes—use coconut yogurt and coconut cream. Chill well for best texture.

Q: How long does it keep?
Up to 2 days refrigerated, covered.

Q: Can I use bottled orange juice?
Fresh is best, but bottled works—reduce sweetener slightly.

Q: Can I freeze it?
Not recommended—freezing changes the cloud texture.
