For the Chicken:
4 chicken breasts (whole or cut into thick pieces) 1/2 tsp paprika Salt and black pepper to taste
For the Mushroom Sauce:
2 tbsp butter 4 cloves garlic, minced 1 1/2 cups sliced mushrooms 2 cups heavy cream 1 cup chicken broth 1 tsp Italian seasoning
For the Cheese:
1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese 1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
To Garnish:
Fresh chopped parsley
Instructions: 👩🍳
Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C) and lightly grease a baking dish.
Season the chicken breasts with salt, black pepper, and paprika on both sides.
In a large skillet over medium heat, melt the butter. Add the chicken and sear for 3–4 minutes per side until lightly golden. The chicken does not need to be fully cooked yet.
Add the minced garlic to the pan and sauté for about 1 minute until fragrant.
Stir in the sliced mushrooms and cook for 4–5 minutes until they soften and release their juices.
Pour in the heavy cream and chicken broth, stirring gently. Let the mixture simmer for 3–4 minutes.
Add the Parmesan cheese and a small handful of the mozzarella. Stir until the sauce becomes creamy and slightly thickened.
Transfer the chicken and mushroom sauce into the prepared baking dish.
Sprinkle the remaining mozzarella evenly over the top.
Bake for 20–25 minutes until the chicken is fully cooked and the cheese is melted and bubbly.
Garnish with freshly chopped parsley and serve warm.
