Ingredients (Serves 6)

Apple Filling

  • 5–6 apples (Granny Smith or Honeycrisp), peeled & sliced

  • ¼ cup granulated sugar (or brown sugar)

  • 1 tbsp lemon juice

  • 1 tsp cinnamon

  • ¼ tsp nutmeg (optional)

  • 1 tbsp cornstarch or flour

Crisp Topping

  • ¾ cup rolled oats

  • ½ cup all-purpose flour

  • ½ cup brown sugar

  • ½ tsp cinnamon

  • ¼ tsp salt

  • ½ cup cold butter, cubed


Instructions

  1. Preheat Oven
    Preheat to 375°F (190°C). Grease an 8×8-inch baking dish.

  2. Prepare Apples
    Toss apples with sugar, lemon juice, cinnamon, nutmeg, and cornstarch.
    Spread evenly in the baking dish.

  3. Make Topping
    In a bowl, mix oats, flour, brown sugar, cinnamon, and salt.
    Cut in butter with fingers or a fork until crumbly.

  4. Assemble & Bake
    Sprinkle topping evenly over apples.
    Bake 40–45 minutes until bubbly and golden.

  5. Cool & Serve
    Let rest 10 minutes before serving.
