1 sheet puff pastry, thawed

2 medium apples, peeled & finely diced

2 tablespoons butter

2 tablespoons brown sugar (or regular sugar)

1 teaspoon cinnamon

¼ teaspoon nutmeg (optional)

1 teaspoon lemon juice

1 teaspoon cornstarch (optional, for thickening)

1 egg, beaten (for egg wash)

Instructions

Preheat oven
Preheat oven to 400°F (200°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper. -
Cook apples
In a pan, melt butter. Add apples, sugar, cinnamon, nutmeg, lemon juice, and cornstarch. Cook 5–7 minutes until soft and slightly thickened. Cool slightly. -
Prepare pastry
Roll puff pastry and cut into small squares (about 2½ inches). -
Fill & seal
Place a spoonful of apple filling in the center of each square. Fold or pinch edges. Brush tops with egg wash. -
Bake
Bake 15–18 minutes until puffed and golden. Cool slightly before serving.
