Blueberry Biscuits with Glaze Recipe

Ingredients

For the Biscuits:

  • 1/4 cup unsalted butter, cold and cubed
  • 1/2 cup milk (or a milk alternative)
  • 1 cup fresh or frozen blueberries

  • 1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract

Instructions

  1. Preheat the Oven: Preheat your oven to 425°F (220°C).
  2. Make the Biscuit Dough:
    • In a large bowl, combine the flour, baking powder, and salt.
    • Cut in the cold butter until the mixture resembles coarse crumbs.
    • Stir in the milk until just combined.
    • Gently fold in the blueberries.
  3. Shape the Biscuits:
    • Turn the dough onto a floured surface and knead gently for about 1 minute.
    • Pat the dough to about 1-inch thickness and cut out biscuits using a round cutter.
    • Place the biscuits on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.
  4. Bake: Bake for 12-15 minutes or until golden brown.
  5. Prepare the Glaze:
    • In a small bowl, whisk together the powdered sugar, milk, and vanilla extract until smooth.
    • Drizzle the glaze over the warm biscuits.
  6. Serve: Enjoy your blueberry biscuits warm!
