Ingredients
For the Beef Patties
2 pounds (900g) lean ground beef
1 cup breadcrumbs
1 large egg
1 small onion, finely diced
2 cloves garlic, minced
1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce
1 teaspoon onion powder
1 teaspoon garlic powder
1 teaspoon dried parsley
Salt and black pepper, to taste
For the Sauce
2 cans (10.5 oz each) condensed cream of mushroom soup
1 packet (1 oz) onion soup mix
1 cup beef broth
½ cup sour cream (optional, for extra creaminess)
Optional Garnish
Fresh parsley
Cracked black pepper
Instructions
Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C). Lightly grease a 9×13-inch baking dish.
In a large bowl, combine the ground beef, breadcrumbs, egg, onion, garlic, Worcestershire sauce, onion powder, garlic powder, parsley, salt, and pepper.
Mix until just combined and form into 6 large oval patties.
Arrange the patties in the prepared baking dish.
In another bowl, whisk together the cream of mushroom soup, onion soup mix, beef broth, and sour cream until smooth.
Pour the mushroom mixture evenly over the beef patties, covering them completely.
Cover tightly with foil and bake for 35 minutes.
Remove the foil and continue baking for 10–15 minutes, until the beef is fully cooked and the sauce is bubbling.
Garnish with fresh parsley and serve hot over mashed potatoes, buttered noodles, or steamed rice.
