Dragon Wok Chicken Stir-Fry
Ingredients:
– 1 lb (450g) boneless, skinless chicken breast, sliced thinly 🍗
– 2 tbsp vegetable oil 🛢️
– 2 cups mixed bell peppers, sliced (red, yellow, green) 🌶️
– 1 cup broccoli florets 🥦
– 1 cup snap peas 🍃
– 3 cloves garlic, minced 🧄
– 1 inch ginger, grated 🥢
– 1/4 cup soy sauce 🍜
– 2 tbsp oyster sauce 🍤
– 1 tbsp cornstarch mixed with 2 tbsp water (slurry) 🌊
– 1 tsp sesame oil 🥡
– Salt and pepper to taste 🧂
– Optional: Cooked rice or noodles for serving 🍚
Directions:
Heat the vegetable oil in a large wok or skillet over medium-high heat. Add the sliced chicken and stir-fry until browned and cooked through, about 5-7 minutes. Remove the chicken from the wok and set aside. In the same wok, add the mixed bell peppers, broccoli, and snap peas. Stir-fry for 3-4 minutes until the vegetables are tender-crisp. Add the minced garlic and grated ginger, stirring for an additional 30 seconds until fragrant. Return the cooked chicken to the wok. Pour in the soy sauce, oyster sauce, and sesame oil, stirring to coat everything evenly. Add the cornstarch slurry to thicken the sauce, cooking for another 1-2 minutes until the sauce is glossy and coats the chicken and vegetables. Season with salt and pepper to taste.
