Ingredients (Serves 4–6)
- 700g–1kg beef (chuck, stew meat, or any affordable cut)
- 1 packet onion soup mix
- 1 can (300–400g) cream of mushroom soup
- ½ cup water or beef broth
Instructions
1. Preheat Oven
- Preheat to 160°C (320°F)
2. Assemble
- Place beef in a baking dish or casserole
- Sprinkle onion soup mix evenly over the meat
- Spread cream of mushroom soup on top
- Pour in water or broth
3. Mix Lightly
- Gently stir just enough to combine sauce ingredients (don’t fully submerge all beef—some browning is nice)
4. Bake Slow & Low
- Cover with foil
- Bake for 2.5–3 hours until beef is tender and easily shredded
