Description

This Festive Christmas Pizza is a holiday show-stopper! Shaped like a Christmas tree (or round if you prefer), it’s topped with melty mozzarella, vibrant green veggies, and colorful toppings that look like ornaments. It’s easy, family-friendly, and perfect for Christmas parties, movie nights, or a fun dinner with kids.

Ingredients (Serves 4–6)

Pizza Base

  • 1 store-bought pizza dough (or homemade)

  • ¾ cup pizza or marinara sauce

  • 1½–2 cups shredded mozzarella cheese

Festive Toppings

  • 1 cup broccoli florets or spinach (for the “tree”)

  • Pepperoni slices (ornaments)

  • Red & yellow bell peppers, diced

  • Cooked chicken or sausage, crumbled (optional)

  • Sliced olives (optional)

Decorations

  • Cheese slices cut into stars (cheddar or mozzarella)

  • Grated Parmesan cheese

  • Italian seasoning

Instructions

Step 1: Preheat Oven

Preheat oven to 425°F (220°C). Line a baking tray or pizza stone with parchment paper.

Step 2: Shape the Dough

Roll out pizza dough and shape it into:

  • A Christmas tree shape (triangle with a small trunk), or

  • A classic round pizza if preferred.

Step 3: Add Sauce & Cheese

Spread pizza sauce evenly, leaving a small border. Sprinkle mozzarella cheese over the top.

Step 4: Decorate Festively

  • Arrange broccoli or spinach in a tree shape.

  • Add pepperoni, bell peppers, and chicken as “ornaments.”

  • Place cheese stars on top and sprinkle Parmesan.

Step 5: Bake

Bake for 12–15 minutes, or until crust is golden and cheese is bubbly.

Step 6: Serve

Let cool slightly, slice, and serve warm. Perfect with garlic dip or ranch!

Tips for Best Results

  • Steam broccoli lightly before baking for a brighter green color.

  • Use pre-shredded cheese for quick prep or fresh mozzarella for extra melt.

  • Let kids decorate their own pizza for a fun activity.
