– 1 cup cornmeal

– 1 cup buttermilk
– 1 egg
– 1/4 cup vegetable oil
Directions:
1. In a bowl, mix together the cornmeal, flour, baking powder, and salt.
2. Add the buttermilk and egg to the dry ingredients and stir until just combined.
3. Heat the vegetable oil in a skillet over medium-high heat.
4. Drop spoonfuls of the batter into the hot oil and fry until golden brown on each side.
5. Remove from the skillet and drain on paper towels.
6. Serve hot and enjoy!
