  • Fresh Ginger Root: 1-2 inches (peeled and sliced)
  • Water: 4 cups
  • Honey or Sweetener (optional): to taste

Instructions

  1. Prepare the Ginger:
    • Peel the ginger root and slice it into thin pieces.
  2. Boil the Water:
    • In a pot, bring 4 cups of water to a boil.
  3. Add Ginger:

  4. Simmer:
    • Reduce the heat and let it simmer for about 10-15 minutes. This allows the ginger to infuse the water.
  5. Strain:
    • After simmering, strain the ginger pieces from the water using a fine mesh strainer.
