Ginger Water Recipe

Ingredients

  • Fresh Ginger Root: 1-2 inches, peeled and sliced
  • Water: 4 cups
  • Optional:
    • Honey or lemon for flavor
    • Mint leaves for garnish

Instructions

  1. Prepare the Ginger:
    • Peel the ginger root and slice it into thin pieces. The thinner the slices, the more flavor will be extracted.
  2. Boil the Water:
    • In a pot, bring 4 cups of water to a boil.
  3. Add Ginger:
    • Once the water is boiling, add the sliced ginger to the pot.
  4. Simmer:
    • Reduce the heat and let it simmer for about 10-15 minutes. The longer you simmer, the stronger the flavor will be.
  5. Strain:
    • Remove from heat and strain the ginger water into a pitcher or serving container.
  6. Serve:
    • You can serve it warm or chilled. Add honey or lemon to taste if desired. Garnish with mint leaves for a refreshing touch.

Tips

  • Storage: Ginger water can be stored in the refrigerator for up to 3 days.
  • Variations: You can also add other ingredients like turmeric or lemon grass for additional health benefits and flavor.

Enjoy your refreshing ginger water!
