Golden Puff Pastry Christmas Tree Filled with Creamy Spinach, Feta & Cranberries
Ingredients:
2 sheets puff pastry, thawed
1 1/2 cups fresh spinach, finely chopped
3/4 cup feta cheese, crumbled
1/2 cup cream cheese, softened
2 cloves garlic, minced
1/4 teaspoon nutmeg
1/2 teaspoon cracked black pepper
1/4 cup dried cranberries, chopped
1 egg, beaten (for egg wash)
1 tablespoon sesame seeds
Directions:
Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
In a bowl, mix spinach, feta, cream cheese, garlic, nutmeg, pepper, and cranberries until creamy and well combined.
Place one puff pastry sheet on your baking sheet and spread the filling evenly, leaving a small border around the edges.
Top with the second sheet of puff pastry and gently press to seal.
Using a sharp knife, cut the shape of a Christmas tree. Create horizontal cuts on each side to form branches, leaving the center intact.
Twist each branch to reveal the filling and create a festive appearance.
Brush the entire tree with egg wash and sprinkle with sesame seeds.
Bake for 22–28 minutes, or until golden, puffy, and crisp.
Let cool slightly before transferring to a platter and serving warm.
