Delicious Caramel Pecan Delight Bars
Ingredients:
For the Crust:
1 1/2 cups graham cracker crumbs
1/4 cup granulated sugar
1/2 cup unsalted butter, melted
For the Filling:
1 can (14 oz) sweetened condensed milk
1/2 cup brown sugar, packed
1/2 cup unsalted butter
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
1 1/2 cups chopped pecans
For the Topping:
1 cup semi-sweet chocolate chips
Directions:
Preheat the Oven to 350°F (175°C). Line a 9×13 inch baking pan with parchment paper.
Make the Crust: In a medium bowl, combine graham cracker crumbs, granulated sugar, and melted butter. Press the mixture firmly into the bottom of the prepared pan. Bake for 10 minutes. Let cool.
Make the Filling: In a medium saucepan, combine sweetened condensed milk, brown sugar, and butter. Cook over medium heat, stirring constantly, until the mixture is smooth and begins to boil. Remove from heat and stir in vanilla extract and chopped pecans.
Assemble the Bars: Pour the pecan filling over the baked crust, spreading it evenly.
Bake the Bars: Bake for 20-25 minutes, or until the filling is set and golden brown. Remove from the oven and immediately sprinkle chocolate chips over the top. Let sit for 5 minutes, then spread the melted chocolate evenly over the pecan filling.
Cool and Cut: Let the bars cool completely in the pan on a wire rack. Once cooled, lift the bars out of the pan using the parchment paper and cut into squares.
