Ingredients

  • 1 (3 oz / 85 g) box orange gelatin (Jell-O)

  • 1 cup boiling water

  • 1 (8 oz / 225 g) tub whipped topping (Cool Whip), thawed

  • 1 cup mandarin orange segments, drained well

  • 1 cup mini marshmallows

  • ½ cup cottage cheese or vanilla yogurt (optional, but traditional)


Instructions

  1. Dissolve gelatin
    In a bowl, dissolve orange gelatin in boiling water. Stir until fully dissolved.

  2. Cool slightly
    Let the gelatin cool to room temperature (do not let it set).

  3. Fold in creamy ingredients
    Gently fold in whipped topping and cottage cheese (or yogurt) until smooth.

  4. Add mix-ins
    Stir in drained mandarin oranges and mini marshmallows.

  5. Chill
    Refrigerate for 1–2 hours until fluffy and set.
