A hearty, cheesy casserole layered with seasoned ground beef, taco flavors, and melty cheese. Comfort food with a Tex-Mex twist—simple, satisfying, and crowd-pleasing.


🛒 Ingredients (Serves 4–6)

  • 1 lb ground beef

  • 1 small onion, chopped

  • 1 packet taco seasoning (or homemade)

  • 1 cup canned diced tomatoes (drained)

  • 1 cup corn (optional)

  • 1 cup black beans, rinsed

  • 2 cups crushed tortilla chips or cooked rice

  • 1½–2 cups shredded cheddar or Mexican-blend cheese

  • ½ cup sour cream (optional)

  • Optional toppings: lettuce, tomatoes, olives, jalapeños, salsa


👩‍🍳 Instructions

1️⃣ Cook the Beef
Brown ground beef with onion in a skillet. Drain excess fat and stir in taco seasoning and tomatoes.

2️⃣ Layer the Casserole
In a greased baking dish, layer tortilla chips (or rice), beef mixture, beans, corn, and cheese.

3️⃣ Bake
Bake at 375°F (190°C) for 20–25 minutes, until bubbly and golden.

4️⃣ Serve
Top with sour cream and fresh toppings before serving.
