This Taco Bake is a comforting, crowd-pleasing casserole made with seasoned ground beef, melted cheese, and buttery Pillsbury crescent rolls. Perfect for busy weeknights, potlucks, or game day dinners.


🛒 Ingredients (Serves 4–6)

  • 1 can Pillsbury crescent rolls

  • 1 lb (450g) ground beef

  • 1 packet taco seasoning

  • ½ cup water

  • 1 cup shredded cheddar or Mexican blend cheese

  • ½ cup sour cream

  • ½ cup salsa (mild or spicy)

  • ¼ cup chopped onion (optional)

  • ¼ cup sliced black olives (optional)

  • Fresh lettuce, tomatoes & extra sour cream (for topping)


👩‍🍳 Instructions

1️⃣ Cook the Beef

  • In a skillet, brown ground beef over medium heat.

  • Drain excess fat, add taco seasoning and water.

  • Simmer 5 minutes until thickened.

2️⃣ Prepare Crescent Base

  • Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C).

  • Unroll crescent dough and press into the bottom of a greased baking dish, sealing seams.

3️⃣ Layer Filling

  • Spread seasoned beef evenly over the dough.

  • Spoon sour cream and salsa on top.

  • Sprinkle with cheese, onions, and olives.

4️⃣ Bake

  • Bake uncovered for 20–25 minutes, until crescent dough is golden and cheese is bubbly.

5️⃣ Serve

  • Let cool 5 minutes.

  • Top with lettuce, tomatoes, and extra sour cream before serving.
