A delicious bread recipe for country apple doughnuts🍞🍎
Ingredients
For the bread:
3 medium apples (Golden type or Queen of Queens), peeled and cut into small pieces
300 grams of flour
100 g of brown sugar
1 sachet of chemical yeast (10 g)
1 pinch of salt
2 eggs
125 ml of milk
100 g melted butter (or 80 ml vegetable oil)
1 teaspoon cinnamon powder (optional)
1 teaspoon of vanilla extract
For the garnish:
50 g of powdered sugar
1 teaspoon cinnamon (optional)
30 g of melted butter
Instructions
Preparing the dough
Preheat the oven to 180°C (th. 6). Butter and flour a cake mold.
In a large bowl, mix flour, brown sugar, chemical yeast, salt and cinnamon (if using).
In another bowl, beat eggs with milk, melted butter and vanilla extract.
Incorporate the liquid mixture with the dry ingredients. Mix just enough to get a homogeneous dough (don’t overwork the dough).
Add the apple slices and mix gently to distribute evenly.
Baking
Pour batter into prepared mold. Smooth the surface with a spatula.
Bake in the oven for 45 to 50 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean.
Let the bread cool in the mold for 10 minutes, then mold it on a grill.
Donut toppings
In a small bowl, mix powdered sugar with cinnamon.
Stare the top of still warm bread with melted butter.
Sprinkle generously the cinnamon sugar mixture on top.
Tips for Service
Serve the apple fritters warm or at room temperature, accompanied by a little whipped cream or a scoop of vanilla ice cream.
This bread keeps well in an airtight container for 2-3 days.
Enjoy your meal!
