Crispy Potato Fritters (Easy Recipe)
🧾 Ingredients
3 medium Potato, grated
1 small Onion, finely chopped or grated (optional)
1 Egg
3–4 tbsp Flour (all-purpose or rice flour for extra crispiness)
Salt to taste
1/2 tsp black pepper
1/2 tsp garlic powder (optional)
Oil for frying
🥣 Optional Dip
1/2 cup Yogurt
1 tbsp mayonnaise
Salt and black pepper
Chopped herbs (optional)
👩‍🍳 Instructions
Prepare potatoes
Grate the potatoes and squeeze out as much water as possible (this makes them crispy).
Mix ingredients
In a bowl, combine grated potatoes, onion, egg, flour, salt, and spices. Mix well.
Heat oil
Heat oil in a pan over medium heat.
Shape and fry
Scoop small portions of the mixture and flatten slightly. Fry until golden brown and crispy on both sides (about 3–4 minutes per side).
Drain oil
Place on paper towels to remove excess oil.
Serve
Serve hot with the creamy yogurt dip.
