Ingredients

  • 1 pound 450 g lean ground beef
  • 2 large flatbreads or naan breads about 8–10 inches each
  • 1 cup 100 g shredded mozzarella cheese
  • 1/2 cup 120 ml pizza sauce or marinara sauce
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon Italian seasoning
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
  • Fresh parsley chopped (optional, for garnish)

Instructions

  • Preheat the oven to 425°F (220°C). Line a baking sheet with aluminum foil or parchment paper.
  • Cook the beef. Heat olive oil in a skillet over medium-high heat. Add the ground beef and cook for 6–8 minutes, breaking it into small crumbles as it browns.
  • Season the meat. Stir in garlic powder, Italian seasoning, salt, and black pepper. Cook for 1 minute more. Remove from heat.
  • Prepare the flatbreads. Place the flatbreads on the prepared baking sheet. Spread the pizza sauce evenly over each flatbread.
  • Add toppings. Sprinkle the cooked beef evenly over the sauce, then top with the shredded mozzarella cheese.
  • Bake. Place in the oven and bake for 8–10 minutes, or until the cheese is melted and bubbly and the edges of the flatbread are golden.
  • Slice and serve. Let cool for 2–3 minutes, then cut into small squares or strips. Garnish with fresh parsley if desired and serve warm.
