Ingredients
- 1 avocado seed (washed and grated or chopped)
- 1 handful of dried hibiscus flowers (flor de jamaica)
- 1 teaspoon of whole cloves
- 3 cups of water
- Optional: a slice of lemon or a bit of honey for taste [1, 2, 3]
Instructions
- Prep the seed: Wash the avocado seed and remove its thin brown skin. Grate the seed using a box grater or chop it into small pieces.
- Combine ingredients: Place the grated avocado seed, dried hibiscus flowers, and cloves into a pot with 3 cups of water.
- Simmer: Bring the mixture to a boil, then lower the heat. Let it simmer gently for 15 to 20 minutes.
- Strain: Remove the pot from the heat and strain the liquid into a cup.
- Serve: Add lemon or honey if you want to soften the tart and earthy flavor.
